Krystal Praast
With more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, and Organizational Development, Krystal has spent her career helping people thrive within systems. After becoming a mother and experiencing firsthand the challenges of modern life, she became increasingly passionate about the role that community, emotional wellbeing, and social connection play in individual and collective health.
In addition to her professional background, Krystal is a Certified Menstrual Cycle Educator and Coach and the founder of TIDES of You, where she has guided women in reconnecting with themselves through greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and community.
Inspired by the teachings of her Coast Salish ancestors, Krystal is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected. For the past three years, she has facilitated women's and family circles that encourage deeper connection to self, community, and belonging. She is thrilled to bring this work to Ember Place and expand these opportunities to a wider community.
Her work is deeply influenced by Internal Family Systems (IFS), matriarchal values, and the belief that healing and wellbeing happen in relationship with others. Through Ember Place, she is helping create the kind of village she believes we all need—a place where all people belong, all parts are welcome, and community becomes a catalyst for healing, growth, and connection.
Krystal lives in West Seattle with her husband and two sons. She loves spending time outdoors: camping, standup paddle boarding, hiking and exploring.

Megan Fisher
Megan Fisher, MA, LMHC, co-founder of Ember Place is a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State with ten years of experience working in behavioral healthcare as a treatment provider. Megan currently owns and operates a private practice where she provides a specialized approach (Internal Family Systems) in the treatment of trauma and addictions to adults in the Seattle area.
Megan loves working with people and is passionate about creating change on a micro level within people, so that those people can show up differently in their world and contribute to change on a macro level.
Megan’s clinical experience includes working for a private group therapy clinic in Bellevue specializing in addictions; working as a clinician for multiple community agencies including Pioneer Human Services Co-Occurring Residential Program (CORP) - an inpatient treatment program for adults involved in the criminal justice system who struggle with mental health and substance use disorders; Sound Health (formerly Sound Mental Health) providing mental health treatment to adults in the Seattle / Tukwila area; The Gavin Foundation – a substance use disorder clinic in Boston, MA; and at a long term residential treatment program and homeless shelter in Boston called the Boston Rescue Mission.
After completing an undergraduate degree in Business-Finance and working in management in various financial institutions, Megan was extremely curious about the struggles of people she saw on the streets with clear behavioral health issues and this curiosity led her to complete her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling in Boston, MA.
Megan currently lives and works in West Seattle, Washington. She enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two daughters; walking, running, hiking, and exploring the mystery of the Pacific Northwest.
