People make this place.
Building our modern village.
Ember Place is a welcoming, non-religious gathering space in West Seattle for connection, care, and shared life. Through meals, circles, movement, and support, we’re making room for people of all ages to connect with themselves and one another.
Belonging first. All parts are welcome. Community over ego. Finding common ground
At Ember Place all parts are welcome
Ember Place is founded on the Internal Family Systems framework. We believe that every person is made up of many experiences, thoughts, emotions, and diverse parts of ourselves—all of which deserve acknowledgment and a place to belong. Rather than asking people to show up as their best or most polished selves, we create space for safe authenticity in all its forms. Through this lens, we support self-awareness, compassion, and growth by normalizing the full spectrum of the human experience—joy, grief, curiosity, fear, growth, and everything in between.
Honoring the land and it’s people
Ember Place gathers in West Seattle on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples. We honor the Duwamish people and the Suquamish and Muckleshoot Tribes, whose relationships with these lands and waters continue today.
We acknowledge the displacement of Indigenous peoples through colonization and recognize their enduring cultures, leadership, and care for this region. Creating a place of belonging carries a responsibility to understand the history of this place and the people who continue to shape it. We invite our community to learn from local Indigenous voices and support Indigenous-led work
